Personal mobility experience post COVID-19 survey

COVID-19 has led to significant re-prioritisation of consumer spending patterns globally. The current scenario is unprecedented and repercussions of the pandemic are still very uncertain.

Even before the pandemic struck, the auto sector was experiencing converging pressures, such as intense competition, evolving customer preferences and massive regulatory changes.

Given the current challenging situation, consumers also have to consider several scenarios on their personal mobility front, including:

  • Safety while commuting
  • Type of model
  • Shared mobility v leasing or public transport
  • Buying online v offline

.. among others

As the economy gradually opens up in coming months, Grant Thornton in India and the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) have conducted a survey to understand the shift in consumer preferences towards a safer personal mobility experience.

Inputs from the survey will be presented in our next quarterly publication – Auto Track.
