Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the demand for personal mobility is likely to surge. The pandemic has also intensified the hardships for the automotive industry with steep decline in sales and causing major disruption in supply chain, labour availability and financial challenges.
Grant Thornton, in collaboration with the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), conducted a survey followed by a webinar on personal mobility experience post COVID-19. The survey examined the impact of the pandemic on consumer preferences, their current sentiments and the anticipated future consumer behaviour. The panellists at the webinar shed light on the increasing preference for personal mobility and how it will lead to a rise in auto sales.
We hope that the survey findings and our expert insights from the webinar will be useful for the automobile industry to emerge stronger.
