    We provided comprehensive advice on various options for structuring the pharmacy setup, addressing whether the pharmacy business could operate under the existing registration or if a separate entity was required. Our activities included advising on different structuring models, clarifying the applicability of GST provisions under each model, exploring ITC availability for pharmacy business (including any necessary ITC reversals), guiding the client on ERP changes required for accurate ITC identification, and conducting timely reviews of regular GST compliances post the pharmacy setup.

    The client, a private limited healthcare company with a widespread presence in India, sought guidance on various GST aspects related to organising vaccination drives across the country, focusing on documentation requirements for vaccine movement.

    We provided comprehensive advice on different arrangements for organising vaccination drives, considering GST implications. Our activities included determining GST applicability for vaccination services under various arrangements, advising on the need for GST registration in states where the client was not registered but intended to organise vaccination drives, addressing implications of related party transactions when organising drives within a subsidiary's hospital premises, and assisting in identifying the necessary documents under GST law for vaccine movement.
