Creating Psychological Safety: Himanshu Grover’s Leadership Recipe

Himanshu Grover’s Leadership Recipe
At Grant Thornton Bharat, psychological safety is a cornerstone of our culture. It’s how we build trust, encourage innovation and ensure that every voice is heard. Himanshu Grover’s journey is a reflection of this commitment in action.

"When your team feels safe to speak up and share ideas, you know you're in the right place, and leading the right way." — Himanshu Grover, Director, CFO Advisory

Known for his empathetic and inclusive leadership, Himanshu has created a space where his team feels safe to express ideas, raise concerns and take ownership of their growth. Inspired by a firm-led workshop on psychological safety, he took it a step further, inviting his team to share candid feedback through a leadership survey.

The results were powerful: an 86 percent psychological safety score, affirming a culture of openness and mutual respect. But Himanshu didn’t stop there. He leaned into the feedback, identifying areas for growth and becoming more attuned to the unique challenges faced by his colleagues, especially women. His willingness to reflect and adapt strengthened team confidence and deepened trust.

This story is not just about one leader. It is about how our people embrace #ExceptionalCARE to create environments where others can thrive. Himanshu’s experience exemplifies how psychological safety is nurtured across the firm, helping us grow together, lead with empathy and build a workplace where everyone feels seen, heard and supported.
