In light of the 21-day lockdown announced due to the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has issued guidelines for the State authorities not to obstruct operations/call for closure of food processing units.​

  • Ensure strictest safety and hygiene standards
  • Take stock of current situation of inventory, logistics and movement of goods without disturbing the value chains
  • Adhere to advisory and permissions issued – consult with local administration in case of any clarifications
  • Identify vulnerabilities in your supply chain – maintain requisite flow of essential goods and preventing ‘panic’ buying
