The Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for pharmaceutical sector was launched with the objective of enhancing India’s manufacturing capabilities by increasing investment and contributing to product diversification. The Scheme would largely promote development of complex and high tech products, production of high value products and employment for both skilled and unskilled labour.
