  • Grant Thornton in India opens its 15th office in Dehradun

In its endeavour to help build a Vibrant Economy and realise the growth opportunities offered by the state of Uttarakhand, Grant Thornton in India, one of the country’s leading professional services firms, has opened its new office in Dehradun. This office will serve as the India Knowledge & Capability Centre (IKCC) for the Firm.

With this addition, Grant Thornton in India now has 15 offices across the country.

Vishesh C Chandiok, CEO, Grant Thornton India LLP, said:

“Dehradun was an obvious choice for our India Knowledge & Capability Centre considering the state’s industry-friendly policies and its reputation of being an educational hub. Uttarakhand is expected to attract significant investments in the near future, especially in focus sectors such as automobile, tourism, renewable energy and information technology. As the preferred growth advisor to dynamic businesses, Grant Thornton in India has the resources and experience to stimulate the growth potential of the region and, in turn, increase the employment opportunities for the local population.”

For the new office, the Firm will be creating more than 150 jobs in the next one year in the state of Uttarakhand. This will help the firm to augment its Knowledge & Capability Centre to support its focus sectors and services.
