Smart Transportation - transforming Indian cities

India is at a turning point. With the launch of Smart Cities Mission in the country, there is a need of a supporting infrastructure. Development of smart cities will address a number of problems in the country such as changing climate, urban infrastructure and housing needs. Smart transportation forms an integral part of this infrastructure. It is not only a solution for urban mobility but also has the potential to mitigate the risks of global warming. 

A key element of the transformation will be to increase the level of vehicle attractiveness, mobility and connectivity. This will result in enhanced technological innovation.
