Cricket legend Kapil Dev and consultation firm Grant Thornton Bharat on Monday joined hands to launch a new annual golf tournament, named the Kapil Dev-Grant Thornton Invitational, presented by DLF.
Gurugram-based professional Dhruv Sheoran, playing at his home course, the DLF Golf and Country Club, struck a four-under 68 to take the clubhouse lead on day one of the Kapil Dev – Grant Thornton Invitational 2022.
Golf as a means to bridge international relations should be used more often and to celebrate 70 years of diplomatic relations between India and Japan, Grant Thornton Bharat, in partnership with the Delhi Policy Group and the Ministry of External Affairs, organised an India-Japan Friendship Golf tournament at the Delhi Golf Club.
In a message he sent India Golf Weekly, Kapil said “What an amazing time I had, me and all the friends, thanks to GT Bharat and Vishesh C. Chandiok (CEO) and his team. This was an experience which I can’t express in words.
